Objectives

• Understand and manage obesity including the use of new obesity medications
• Address common concerns in women’s health such as contraception and menopause
• Apply evidence-based use of vitamins, nutritional supplements, and exercise recommendations
• Increase expertise in managing common and often missed orthopedic problems
• Develop best practices for prognostic counseling in common cancers
• Select appropriate current and emerging diagnostic tests and medications, including new cancer therapies
• Optimize patient communication and shared decision-making using best evidence
• Enhance interprofessional collaboration and teamwork
• Promote value-based care and greater understanding of health disparities emphasizing equitable, patient-centered primary care
