The rapid growth of advanced cardiac imaging has led to significant developments in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of cardiac diseases. Given the increasing utilization of multimodality imaging in cardiology, it is critical that clinicians, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, understand the applications, strengths, limitations, and areas for future research and development of advanced imaging in the care of patients with cardiac diseases. In this symposium, we will specifically address applications and advances in cardiac imaging in the following cardiac conditions: valvular heart diseases, aortopathies, cardiomyopathies, genetic heart diseases, coronary artery disease, and atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
