  • Analyze clinical approaches to hematology in hospitalized patients, focusing on anemia, coagulation testing, and thrombocytopenia.
  • Critically appraise approaches for managing gastroenterology problems in hospitalized patients, including approach to transaminitis, Metabolic dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease “MASLD” (formerly known as NAFLD), and updates for endoscopy with GI bleed.
  • Provide an overview of various topics the interprofessional care team faces, including care of high-risk pregnant patients, acute pain management with patients with chronic pain, and updates regarding palliative medicine.
  • Provide an update on and analyze the newest literature that impacts the hospital medicine care team.
