UCSF Abdominal and Thoracic Imaging 2022 ( VIDEOS) is an on-demand digital CME course designed for both general and specialized radiologists. Content
This course provides case-based continuing medical education lectures covering abdominal, pelvic, and thoracic imaging with practical emphasis on routine and advanced radiological interpretation.
- Abdominal Imaging: female pelvis, acute pelvic pain in reproductive-age females, early and ectopic pregnancy, male pelvis and prostate, gastrointestinal conditions including liver pathology, and organ transplant evaluations
- Thoracic Imaging: lung cancer screening, pulmonary embolism diagnosis, mediastinal masses, chest radiograph interpretation, and other critical findings for general radiologists
Learning Objectives
- Recognize complications and diagnostic strategies for pregnant patients including first trimester viability and placenta accreta spectrum disorders
- Distinguish benign from malignant conditions of the female pelvis
- Identify and evaluate abdomino-pelvic conditions related to prostate, bowel, uterus, biliary tree, and abdominal transplants
- Assess acute pelvic pain in both pregnant and non-pregnant females
- Improve thyroid biopsy procedural skills
- Differential diagnosis of typical versus atypical presentations of thoracic emergencies and pulmonary infections
- Identify benign incidentalomas and mimics in lungs, heart, and mediastinum
